Veterinary care for senior pets in the comfort of your own home.

Dr. Rand is a mobile veterinarian offering house calls in the Bryan/College Station area. She is a certified hospice and palliative care veterinarian who specializes in end-of-life care, chronic illness, senior pet health, and in-home euthanasia.

House Calls
Dr. Rand offers gentle, in-home veterinary care for senior dogs and cats in the Bryan/College Station Area. Our housecalls services include providing routine care for your senior pet(s). Whether they’re not feeling well or just a simple check-up, we’re happy to help.

Going to the vet can be a stressful situation for our pets. By providing care in your own home, your pet will feel most relaxed and comfortable.

In-Home Euthanasia

This will be the most difficult decision you will make in your pet’s life, but we can help. Often times, the emotions, stress, and anxiety can be overwhelming for a family. Many of us hope our pets will pass away peacefully on their own, but this is generally not how it happens.

Reasons to be at home include:

  1. Less stress for your pet
  2. Privacy during the appointment
  3. The presence of other pets should you choose
  4. Choice of location
  5. Religious freedoms
  6. Privacy afterward, on your terms

Our visits allow for ample time in a familiar environment, complete comfortable sedation, and custom accommodations to suit every family member’s needs. At the completion of our visit, we can make arrangements and provide gentle transport for aftercare services to honor your companion.

Comfort Care

We’re pleased to offer specialized palliative care for long-term illnesses, disabilities, and end of life. We believe in maximizing the comfort of your pet during his or her golden years.

Pain Management

Proper pain management improves your pet’s recovery and keeps them feeling their best! Dr. Rand is certified in Hospice and Palliative Care, and she has advanced therapies at her disposal to help keep your pet comfortable.

Palliative and Hospice Care

Any condition that is terminal or will limit your pet’s quality of life moving forward can be addressed with palliative medicine. Our goal is to keep your pet happy and comfortable at home!

Quality of Life

We’ll help your family evaluate your pet’s comfort level and develop the best plan. Time is nothing if it’s spent suffering. We want quality time over quantity of time – ALWAYS. Your entire household should participate in evaluating your pet’s quality of life. Get help from your friends, family and veterinary team!

Senior Wellness Care

We’re here for you and your pet’s during their senior years. Dogs are considered seniors (mature adults) between the ages of 7 and 8 years old, and cats are considered seniors when they are 10 years old. When your pet is considered a mature adult, they will start needing special care. We recommend more frequent wellness exams to ensure any illness is caught as early as possible. More frequent exams by your veterinarian also helps our team get to know your pet’s baseline and can make adjustments to treatment on an individualized basis.
